I wrote the other day (8 Feb 2013) of Chris Burden's installation
Urban Light at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; of how it must evoke nostalgia in old Angelenos with its display of charming old LA streetlamps.
But this old Los Angeles still exists. It may be a bit ratty, but Los Angeles still sounds echoes of its former lovely self, and you'll still find these charming hangovers of these earlier days in downtown LA:
