Escape from monolinguism

Back when I used to live in Central Australia, I always used to relish the fact that the main streets of Alice Springs were full of the sound of Arrernte, Pitjantjatjara and Warlpiri. Here I love that LA is bilingual and I hear equal portions English and Spanish around me.
