A question

Hi to you all

I'd be interested in knowing what readers of my blog might like more of. I look back over my general categories and they could be considered to fall into various broad areas - US impressions (including an Australian's slant on the political history), the 'feel' of Australia, indigenous echoes, thoughts on opera and other dramatic forms, composer profiles (of which there will be a few more), little street vignettes...Is there anything I'm missing?

As Ferris Bueller's teacher says, 'Anybody? Anybody?'

  1. I like your style, your outlook, your approach to topics. So in a sense it doesn't matter what the topic is. And often I'm caught up in reading pieces about topics that I might not have thought I'd be interested in. All of which leads me to a distinctly unhelpful answer, which is all of the above! Keep up the mix of categories, but above all, keep up your distinctive style.

I would only add that I especially like the way you capture your engagement with other people in many of your posts – the conversations you have and the things you learn from strangers. It's delightful and somehow inspiring.

  2. I find it very enjoyable following your interests on the blog, Gordon. The language is easy, the photographs are nicely explained, and the thoughts are engaging. Sorry I can't offer more advice. I'm just happy to come along for the ride. Rita

    1. Thanks Rita. Lovely to get your comments. I guess I was also wondering if any themes show up, other than those I identify myself, and how to focus them.
